Many jewelers are experts with diamonds and gold, however that does not automatically make them experts in time pieces. Some pieces are worth more than the diamonds or gold which compose the watch. In order to determine the true value of the watch, one must be an expert in micromechanics, authentication, know the history, popularity, and the current market value of the watch. We have all that.

Guyos Time can do appraisals for antique, vintage, and contemporary time pieces. We evaluate, verify the authenticity of, and research the watch being appraised. We will tell you the true value of your time piece.

All watches are insured and placed in a safe while in our possession.

Let’s say you are thinking of buying a new watch, something that may possibly be a family heirloom someday. There a lot of watches out there and it may be hard to make a decision. There’s a lot about a watch below the surface, much like a car. When it comes to cars, you ask a mechanic.

That’s where we come in. We are like mechanics for watches. We can help narrow the field of information for you. After asking you a few questions we will determine which watch would be best for you, both in function and in price.

If you’ve got your watch in person with you we can evaluate it for you right there. All transactions must be accompanied by a valid form of I.D. and the signing of a purchase contract. All sales must be completed by someone 18 years or older.

We back up our work. While we have your watch, it’s insured and any damages are covered by us. After we complete the job on your watch, we still back it up. We provide parts and services warranty between six months and a year. In some cases the watch is warranted for two years.

All batteries from us have a one year warranty.

Watches are small engines, and believe it or not they use oil as well, but please don’t put oil in your broken watch.

We will give you a free and accurate estimate for your watch repair. We do not take advantage of our customers; we educate them so they feel peace of mind. All watches are insured while in our possession. We take care of the watches while in our care. We take things apart slowly, screw by screw. Each component is cleaned, reassembled, lubricated, adjusted, tested and put back in correctly. This is all done by hand.

We also do band adjustments on new and used watches. Adjustments start at $7.
